This Sunday is Pittsburgh Pridefest. It is recognized by many as the largest Pride event outside of NYC, with last year’s crowd being estimated by the City of Pittsburgh at 100,000 people. As we have in past years, CFI-Pgh is marching in the parade and tabling at the Pridefest street festival. The parade starts lining up along the Blvd of Allies at 10:00 am, and steps off at noon. The street festival officially runs from 1:00 to 6:00, but in reality, we usually start getting visitors from about 12:00 on.
If anybody would like to help staff the booth, please reply to this email and let me know when you would be available to man the booth.
Our Line-up spot is #55. The location of this spot is on the south side of the Blvd of the Allies, about halfway between Cherry Way and Smithfield St. (This is called Staging Area “B”)
Vehicles must be in place by 11:00, and marchers by 11:30.
The information tent will be located at the corner of Cherry Way and the Blvd – I’m guessing on the north side of the Blvd (the side away from the Mon river).
