Hello Pittsburgh Climate Initiative,

I wanted to inform you of an upcoming community discussion on climate change hosted by Global Solutions Pittsburgh. We hope that this event will be of interest to you due to the Pittsburgh Climate Initiative’s involvement in reducing greenhouse gases here in Pittsburgh and that you will attend or inform other members of your organization about it.

Global Challenges & Local Impacts: Climate Change will take place on April 25th, from 6-8 p.m. at the Union Project in East Liberty.

We hope that you will join Global Solutions Pittsburgh, local experts, and community members for a panel discussion and Q&A about the effect that climate change is having in the world today. Our panel of experts will discuss local, national, and international causes and effects of climate change and ways the world is searching for and working towards solutions. We will discuss the influence of national and international policy, the impact developing and developed countries have on climate change, and explore environmental economics and Cap and Trade as a market-based system to limit air pollution.

On the panel for this discussion will be:

-Dr. Stan Kabala, Associate Director of the Center for Environmental Research and Education at Duquesne University
-Tiffany Hickman, Western Pennsylvania Outreach Coordinator at Citizens for Pennsylvania’s Future (PennFuture)
