When: 7PM TODAY
Welcome to CFI’s monthly lecture and movie night series!
Author and psychologist Ray Naar will present his book “Rachamim: From Darkness Into Light.” Rachamim explores the angst of a young man who must come to terms with agonizing concentration camp memories while on a dangerous mission that forces him to confront characters from his past. Through it all, he manages to recapture his humanness, dignity, and gentleness and provide the reader with a stirring allegory of personal and political conflict resolution.
Dr. Ray Naar is a survivor of Berger-Belsen concentration camp. He emigrated to the United States from his native Greece in 1951. He earned a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh and has practiced and taught psychotherapy for 46 years. He will present his book and then lead a group discussion about it!
See you there!
P.S. We usually head to Ali Baba’s on nearby Craig Street at 5:30 p.m. for a pre-lecture or pre-movie dinner. Please leave a comment below if you are coming to dinner so we can include you in the reservation. Thanks!
