Despite the proliferation of shows like CSI and college programs in forensic science, author David Harris asserts that law enforcement actually disregards science-based evidence. A nationally recognized expert on police profiling, Professor Harris examines the use of eyewitnesses, interrogations, and fingerprinting, and the number of wrongful convictions they produce. His work not only challenges prosecutors to do better, it shows them how.
